One of my choices this term in ICT is a passion blog, some friends and I have created a blog about 30 second horror stories. They are short stories about horror situations with no begginning or end. Please follow the link below to check it out and leave comments.

This term in ICT we had a choice on what we wanted to work on. We had a choice of Family History, the basics ( Word, Publisher and other Microsoft Office programs) or taking risks ( Pivot, Glogster, Stop motion ect.). I chose taking risks and my 3 choices were Glogster, Dance Animation and Passion blog. My Glogster poster will be on Endangered Animals and my Dance Animation will be Pivot. I’m working on my Passion blog with Jaimi-lee and Astra and we are doing it about 30 second Horror stories. Short stories about Horror situations which have no end so your imagination can come up with it yourself. In Skills 4 life we have been watching the movie ‘Cars’ to learn about friendships. The things I look for in a friend is friendliness, kindness, loyalty, Humour, a friend whose fun to be around, cares about me and i can always count on no matter what. One of my best friends is Beth, she is kind, caring, funny, is fun to be around, crazy, silly and caring. She always knows when something is wrong before everyone else does and when there is someting wrong she will drop everything to listen to me and i know she will never judge me. She always helps me out and cheers me up when i am sad, she is a great friend and always seems to be able to put a smile on my face no matter what has happened. I visited everyone in my class’s blog, here are my five favourite which i reccomend you visit: Tayla- A few interesting posts and lots of cute pets. Jaimi-lee- A good layout and a nice avatar. Robert- Lots of good and original posts. Astra- Good puncuation, spelling and well worded. Tiana- Lots of posts about interesting subjects. Not long ago we had our parent teacher night and report collecting. All of the coments from my teachers were positive and i was happy with my report. From now on i am going to be working on not being as easily distracted, speaking up more in class discussions and sharing my ideas more. Have you ever tried any of these search engines instead of just Google? Webcrawler- It is a mixture of google, bing, yahoo and ask all joined together. About.com- It’s simple and easy to use. Metacrawler- It searchs google, bing and yahoo for the best results. I am a huge fan of gymnastics, i fell in love with it about three years ago. It is such a fun and exciting sport to play; this is my third year of it and i am in level four. I have been in many competitions and my next one is at the end of August. That competition is state championships, i am hopeing to place top three. It will be a hard task but acheivable. I am very excited and working hard to win. I will let you know how i go later on. In ICT we have been working on cyber safety, here is my cyber safety bubbl.us. Hi guys, How many of you like to read? I love to read but I’m finding it difficult to find time to read. I love adventure books, fantasy books and romance books. Some of my favourite include the Twighlight series the Princess diaries and much more. Some of my favourite authors are Meg Cabot, Cathy Cassidy, Stephanie Meyer and more. My brother is trying to get me to try the Anthony Horowitz books and some like that so i’ll give them ago and see how they are. So whats your opinion? Who’s your favourite author and your favourite books? About three weeks ago i flew to Melbourne to watch the Pacific Rim Gymnastics Championships and was absolutely amazed by what i saw. I am a huge fan of gymnastics and all the gymnasts there seemed to try so hard and i was inspired. I saw the second session of the women’s qualifiers and the apparatus finals. In the qualifiers U.S.A won, China came 2nd and Australia came 3rd. Also in that session was Canada and Russia (but Russia only had three competitors so they didn’t count as a team). I would like to congratulate everyone who went in it and did their best. It was a pleasure to see you all compete as it was my first time seeing world class gymnastics live. I really hope that one day in a few years i will be at that stage and i can have all those spectators cheering for me as i compete against the very best as i battle it out for the gold. |
